Executive Leadership in Native American Studies, Arron Julian

Arron Julian brings over 38 years of distinguished leadership experience in law enforcement and tribal governance to his role as an adjunct professor. A proud member of the Jicarilla Apache Nation, Arron has dedicated his career to fostering culturally sensitive approaches to leadership and community building.

Arron holds advanced Federal Law Enforcement Training Center certifications, Two Associate Degrees from San Carlos Apache College, a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business administration, and is pursuing a doctoral degree in Executive Leadership. His research and teaching emphasize Native American governance and the creation of sustainable futures for Indigenous communities. He emphasizes integrating Indigenous knowledge, ethical leadership practices, and community-driven solutions.

Throughout his career, Arron has served as a police chief, tribal liaison, and director for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives programs, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to justice, inclusion, and cultural preservation. He is also an accomplished public speaker and mentor, passionate about empowering future leaders to make impactful community contributions.

When not in the classroom, Arron enjoys writing and exploring Native American history, mentoring young leaders, and sharing his insights on law enforcement and governance. He firmly believes in the power of education to inspire change and create a more equitable world for all.
