I received my B.A. in American Studies from the George Washington University in Washington, DC; an M.A. in the same field from the University of Michigan; and an M.A in English from San Francisco State University. In between academic stints, I have worked in bookstores and a printing press; I drove a taxi in Boston and an airport shuttle bus in the San Francisco Bay area.
I have been teaching English courses for many years: a few years at the San Francisco State University Language Institute, a summer in Mexico, almost 3 years in Barcelona, Spain, and for 28 years at Dine’ College in Shiprock, NN. Since 2017, I have had the pleasure and honor to be teaching online at San Carlos Apache College. My courses include Composition 2 (WRT 102), Native American Literature (LIT 274), and Literature and Film (LIT 289).
