Avarista Perez-Chatlin

Working with the WIOA program as a career specialist, Avarista has 16 years of experience helping, San Carlos Apache Tribal Members achieve their career goals. She specializes in developing independent employment plans and personalized career plans. She empowers participants to reach their career goals by encouraging empathy and charisma. She coordinates and collaborates with local tribal departments to provide temporary work experience for adults, youth, and dislocated workers. With years of service comes knowledge and skills that make Avarista a key player at the Institute for Career Development and Workforce Transformation. With these skills, she has developed and implemented protocols to track participant progress, analyze program effectiveness, and identify opportunities for service improvement.

Avarista has certificates in Social Services and Substance Abuse and Addiction Studies, along with an Associate’s degree in Social Work from Apache College. She aspires to continue her education at Arizona State University to get her bachelor’s degree in Social Work.
